Mark Christensen is a multi-instrumentalist composer and performer. His main instruments are electric guitar (with a lot of electronic manipulation of the sound) and the Chapman Stick, a 12 stringed instrument with the range of guitar and bass that is played by tapping the strings.
Formerly from L.A. he is now living in Vermont. Past projects include working as a composer for film and theater and as producer and musician on CDs by Arty LaVigne, Courtney Brocks and the John Tower Group, as well as his own forthcoming solo CD. He is also a founding member of Regional Science Fair and improvisational collaborations with Su Lian Tan, Keith Watts and Cyrus Chestnut. He is also a current member of the improvising post-prog trio Stone Document and Burlington, Vermont faux-supergroup The Radio Underground.
Since 2000 he has studied Guitar Craft with progressive rock pioneer Robert Fripp.
